Q.  A potential renter for an investment property I own presented an application listing liquid assets that exceed $1 million, held in the name of a trust.  I'm  troubled that the assets are not in her name and that her employment income is less than $50,000. 

Q. I recently rented an apartment Downtown and paid the listing broker a 15% fee when I signed the lease.  I had spoken to the agent about some work that needed to be done such as painting and various other minor repairs.  I was assured that they would be taken care of by the time I moved in. 

Q. I rent in a luxury apartment building which is going through some internal and exterior renovations.

Q. Last year I rented a one bedroom apartment in a Greenwich Village co-op building.  The owner had moved out about 18 months before I moved in and he had another renter for 12 of those months. 

Q. I rented an apartment recently in Park Slope and I pay an extra $250 per month for a private, off-street parking spot. 

Q. I'm relocating from Hong Kong to NYC with my family for a new job at a tech-focused venture capital firm.
