Open houses in 'name buildings' throughout Manhattan

Earlier this week, we gave you five facts about The Clebourne, one of the Upper West Side's marquee co-ops. But there are plenty of other "name buildings"—old, established ones, and more recent ones that have become more known—throughout Manhattan, and a number of them have apartments hosting open houses this weekend, which means a chance at a sneak peek for house-hunters (and, yes, some looky-Lous, too). Here are a few:
20 West 72nd Street, Apartment 1105. A bright one-bedroom in a building half a block from Central Park named the Franconia. Asking price: $700,000. Open house: Sunday, March 27, 2 pm to 3 pm.
350 West 42nd Street, Apartment 19F. The Orion is one of the first glass-curtain-wall skyscraper condos to stake its claim on this stretch of 42nd Street. This unit has one bedroom and one bath, and has open views of the city. Asking price: $1.275 milliion. Open house: Sunday, March 27, 1:30 pm to 3 pm.
1280 Fifth Avenue, Apartment 19A. This three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath is in a condo built by starchitect Robert A.M. Stern and known as One Museum Mile. Asking price: $2.95 million. Open house: Sunday, March 27, 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
